Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques - NAET
Allergic reactions, according to Dr Nambudripad, are determined by the way in which the brain perceives the substance in question. If the brain considers the substance a threat to the body, it will order the immune system to mobilise its defences to fight the invasion. This manifests as an allergic reaction whose initial signs are generally aimed at chasing the intruder away.
However, more often than not this perception is erroneous and our brain actually betrays us by triggering an inappropriate response. This faulty perception may be due to both cellular mutation or damage which has taken place over several generations and to the difficulties the human body encounters when it has to adapt to a constantly evolving environment (chemicals, climate, processed foodstuffs, technology, etc.).
This is why allergic reactions generally have very little to do with the intrinsic properties of the substances that trigger them. It also explains why some substances are severely allergenic for some individuals but totally harmless or even vitally important (nutrients, for example) for others.
As she further developed this theory, Dr Nambudripad discovered that if the roots of the sympathetic nervous system are given specific stimuli the brain will receive messages that enable it to correct its faulty perception of the substance concerned (the equivalent of a computer reset). These new messages will be permanently imprinted in the brain after a number of other acupressure/acupuncture points have been stimulated, provided the patient follows certain precise rules for a specified time period after the treatment.
This reprogramming constitutes the core part of the NAET methodology, and this theory has been extensively verified for more than 15 years with highly satisfactory, long-lasting results.
After the treatment, the incompatibly or clash of energies disappears completely and there is no trace of allergy, sensitivity or intolerance when the patient next comes into contact with the substance. This is because NAET treats the cause of the allergy, not the resulting symptoms.

Muscle-energy allergy test
What is it and how does it work?
The muscles in the human body are linked to acupuncture meridians, which rely on the meridian-energy system to diagnose and heal physical and psychological problems.
Muscle-energy allergy testing and kinesiology work by rebalancing the energies in these meridians. There are six pairs of meridians, which correspond to the lung, liver, small intestine, large intestine, spleen and kidney.
The purpose of the muscle-energy allergy testing is to determine whether the specific substance being tested upsets the current energy balance of the body or alerts the brain, even if only briefly.
First, a muscle is tested ‘in the clear’ (with no test substance present). In this case, the muscle will normally test ‘strong’ by displaying ample resistance to any physical pressure that is applied to it.
The body is then briefly exposed to the test substance by placing that substance over the umbilicus, and the muscle is tested again.
If there is a positive reaction to a particular substance, the muscles will go ‘weak, offering less resistance to applied physical pressure. If there is no reaction to the substance, the muscle will again test ‘strong. Each substance is tested separately.
It is generally believed that a muscle goes ‘weak’ because of a subtle change in the energy flowing to it, caused by an energy shift within the meridians.
There are two methods of redressing this imbalance of energy. One is to avoid the substances for which the body has tested positive for a minimum of 3 months. These can then be reintroduced at a later date in small quantities and with less frequency.
The second is to use a desensitising homeopathic remedy, which allow the body to recognise the substance as a non-allergenic one. The person can usually reintroduce the specific food after two weeks (in moderation).
In order to avoid problems, the result of the test will be given at the end of the session.

Food Sensitivity/Intolerance Testing - Nutritional Deficiencies
Testing for intolerance, or allergies, to various foods is done with an MSAS machine. This test gives very specific information and by tailoring the diet and supplementation accordingly, fast relief from and improvement of symptoms can be achieved very quickly.
With the MSAS machine I can also test for vitamin and mineral deficiencies, which allows me to be very specific in devising a programme for you.
Readings are taken from acupuncture points of your vibrational frequencies, and they are compared with homeopathic potencies of foods or substances that are put into the circuit one at a time. No needles are used - a test probe is applied to an acupuncture point on your skin while you hold an electrode, thus completing the circuit. All you feel is the light touch of the probe administered by me.
If the normal reading indicates stress, then that is relevant to you at that time. It can indicate that you do not tolerate the substance that is in the circuit, or that you have a toxic load of that substance or an infection from it. An abnormal reading in some cases can also indicate a deficiency of that substance, for instance of a specific vitamin or mineral.
The MSAS machine is capable of much more. It can give readings for the organs, toxicity in the body, location of bacterial foci and so on, but I only use it to test for food intolerances and nutrient deficiencies.
